#3. Duck Pâté. (The Seven Best Things I Ate on the Haute Route)
3. Duck Pâté, Argentière, France. This was was one of the best things I've tasted in Europe. Spread these bits of duck meat and fat on bread and you've got the gourmet hiking snack of your foodie dreams. I'm sure you can get this stuff all around France, but as the Haute Route quickly heads into Switzerland, be sure to stock up here. I couldn't find its likes anywhere in Switzerland.
