GEAR REVIEW: Steripod Toothbrush Cover
This ingenious little cover is the single easiest piece of gear for me to recommend.
Why? Because it solves one of my most hated problems in travel: what to do with your wet, recently used toothbrush on your way out the door to catch the next train to Budapest or wherever. Fifteen hours later you take it out from your pack and hope the Petrie-dish-like characteristics of your toothbrush haven't bred the next Ebola outbreak.
The Steripod solves this—as its name suggests—by creating a sterile, non-bacterial place to put your toothbrush.
Don't ask me about the science behind all this because I don't know. I do know that when you open the foil case of a new one it has a slight pleasing medicinal smell—which if nothing else is brilliant marketing.
It's spring loaded jaws quickly and securely keep the thing on your toothbrush.
And it's super cheap—$6 gets you a two-pack. And they last about 3-4 months.
