Have You Ever Dared To Be So Free

by Ryan Moore

Have you ever dared to be so free

Since being flung against the shards

Of life's darkest fears?

Now that you're standing

Atop this cliff of hope

Should you leap—

Will your wings catch you Unfurling like a chute?

It is dangerous to hope

It is foolhardy to try

To change anything

Yourself not least of all

And yet.

Let me be a fool

For love's sake

Let me burn every bridge

Cut every cord Destroy every escape route

My only choice—

To leap

And trust these wings

Buoyed upward by a foolish kind of hope.
